he course content, overall, is great. Naturally, being an open source there are a great deal of courses that are more amateur than many others, but the best flight of courses are great.
On the other hand, the movies just don't get the job done. Thanks to the way that they deploy videos, they simply don't buffer. Despite being a video-based site, they fail to utilize the systems that other video websites (YouTube, Twitch, Vimeo) use to keep their movies stable, obtaining a system that works in the identical manner Tumblr does - i.e. poorly Alice Young Skillshare Classes - John Neal, Bookseller. A video that is video will take about an hour and a half to watch since the movie just buffers just a small way and never fast enough for the video to never catch it up. Unlike many other streaming videos, you can not leave it alone for it to buffer till the ending as if ceases after about thirty minutes of buffering.
Ordinarily, when encountering problems running movies (from Chrome) I can venture over to Internet Explorer that, despite having a fairly naff browser, curiously are good at running videos along with their plugins. But Skillshare only supports Firefox and Chrome - neither of which actually work - so that solution wasn't available to me.
I've used Skillshare in two blocks, one last year and one lately, at that time there haven't been any changes and more and more people are complaining of the identical issue in the comments of most videos. It is a real problem that hasn't been addressed.
I have contacted customer service on both occasions and received much the same response. It is not their fault, it's my net due to various issues (none of that actually have been issues -- cookies, temporary files, etc) and while they admitted that limited internet (below 5mb/s) will encounter issues, they did nothing to acknowledge just how bad the problem was signed and sent off the emails stating that they were looking into it. But, they stated the same a year ago and nothing's changed.
Other websites manage the needs of streaming videos a hell of a lot better and handle problems with much more elegance and honesty. If you're able to get the movies to Fstoppers Reviews Skillshare.com(Or: My New Favorite Tool for ... work, good, you're in for a treat. In case you can't do not attempt, just get out and use someone else - it is not an issue they're making progress on, if they are even trying.
